Paying tribute to Fathers at Basildon Crematorium

Basildon and District Cemetery & Crematorium is inviting people to visit to remember and pay tribute to their loved ones on Father’s Day – Sunday 16 June.

Between 10am and 4pm, the Book of Remembrance Room will be open and visitors will be able to write personal messages in memory of someone they’ve lost on wooden hearts which will then be placed on a memory tree.

They can also spend time within the grounds, for peaceful periods of reflection and remembrance.

“Regardless of whether they’re newly bereaved, lost their loved one a while ago, or where their funeral took place, our Father’s Day invitation is open to anyone who is looking for a place of comfort at this special time of year.”
